Tony Jeffries facing last resort in bid to save his career

Posted: June 11, 2012 in Uncategorized

Tony Jeffries has conceded his career is in doubt because of a serious hand injury.

The undefeated light-heavyweight, who won a bronze medal at the 2008 Olympics, has not fought since September, last year.

Surgery in October failed to work and a visit to a surgeon in America thereafter had little impact.

The 27-year-old, who has nine wins, a draw and 60 per cent knockout success rate on his record, will now resort to platelet rich plasma treatment, which involves injecting blood cells into the hand.
