Coldwell Boxing have added a new signing as undefeated Doncaster prospect Maxi Hughes inked a promotional deal with the  Yorkshire outfit.

Hughes is the latest name to join Coldwell’s ranks as the promoter has enjoyed a busy summer pursuing a wide range of talent that he believes can go on and carve out successful careers.

After capturing the signatures of Chad Gaynor, Joe Hughes, and Anthony Jevons, Coldwell is showing no signs of slowing down as he aims to bolster his numbers ahead of the new season.

Only 22, Hughes has made an impressive start to his professional career, with the only blip on his ledger being a draw against fellow unbeaten prospect Ronnie Clark.

After enjoying an eventful stint as an amateur which saw him reach the latter stages of multiple tournaments, Hughes handed in his club vest earlier than expected, preferring to test himself in professional waters.

Coldwell believes that his new lightweight is destined for great things.

“We know a lot about Maxi Hughes and we believe we’ve got ourselves a talented kid for the future,” said Coldwell.

“He’s sparred a lot with Curtis Woodhouse and you can see that he’s ready to mix at a good level. He’s got a lot of guts for a kid who’s only had a handful of fights and that exciting style will make him a huge fan favourite.”

Maxi Hughes will return to action on September 28 at “The Warrior Returns” where Curtis Woodhouse faces Dave Ryan. For tickets please visit WWW.COLDWELLBOXING.COM. Please follow Dave Coldwell on Twitter via @davidcoldwell, Maxi Hughes can be followed on @boxermaxihughes
